Tobin Andrew Snook arrived at 12:28am on March 24th. He is our first child and we are very excited to spend every waking (and semi-awake) moment with him.

90 years ago today women got the right to vote! Although states like Colorado led the way and women in Colorado had already been voting since 1893 and we already had many women in the state legislature and even elected to state wide office. I love being a Western woman.
Mexico Cruise Album. One of the promises Faith and I made to each other while she was running for office was that we would go on a cruise afterwards. We needed a vacation and just wanted something that would allow us to relax and enjoy each others company. We decided on a Mexican riviera cruise so that airfare would be cheap and we could go winetasting afterwards.
We started out in Puerto Vallarta, then went to Mazatlan, and finally to Cabo San Lucas before heading back to LA. In Puerto Vallarta, we toured the city and made a stop at a Tequila factory. In Mazatlan we went horseback riding on the beach, and in Cabo we went snorkeling and just spent our day at the beach.
After Faith was sworn in to office on November 12th, she was able to attend the National League of Cities conference in New Orleans. I decided to tag along and sight see during the day while she was at sessions since I'd never been to New Orleans before. I went on a Katrina Devastation Tour, a Swamp Tour, and drove to Biloxi and Gulf Port Mississippi and Alabama. It was a very eye opening experience to see how wide spread the devastation actually was and just how far rebuilding is from being complete. I also did the typical tourist stuff such as the French Quarter (including Bourbon Street), a Cemetery Tour, and a visit to Cafe Du Monde for Beignets.
Faith was elected to Westminster city council on November 6th and took the oath of office on November 12th. Thank you to all the volunteers, friends, and family that supported her throughout the campaign. This was truly a team effort and she could not have been successful without all the support she received from each one of you.
